PRIZM LightTurn on-board parallel-optics assembly procurement guide

PRIZM LightTurn targets a specific board-mounted parallel-optics interface used with a corresponding MOI; do not assume it is an ordinary MPO equipment port. Confirm board-side references, lane map, remote interface, mechanical envelope and sample validation.

DIRECT ANSWER / 01

Confirm equipment and mating parts before freezing cable configuration

PRIZM® LightTurn® is a miniature detachable fibre connector solution for board-mounted parallel-optics modules. US Conec documentation describes it with a specific Mechanical Optical Interface (MOI). It should not be treated as a generic patch interface interchangeable with an ordinary MPO equipment port; the board-side module and MOI define the mating design.

Freeze the board-side MOI/connector references and quantity, fibre count/type, board orientation and lane map, remote-end interface, cable route and mechanical envelope. Request mutually approved drawings and a sample plan. This guide does not assert that ARRANEX holds a third-party interface license or manufacturing qualification.

BUYER FAQ / 04

Purchasing FAQ

01

Can PRIZM LightTurn mate with an ordinary MPO plug?

Do not assume so. US Conec describes LightTurn as a board-side interface solution used with its MOI; confirm the exact mating interface and system design.

02

Why validate a sample first?

Board optical/mechanical interfaces, insertion orientation and cable space are system-level constraints. Samples help validate mating, installation path and project test conditions before design freeze.

03

Can the LightTurn catalogue define my assembly specification?

No. The equipment/OEM MOI, lane map, fibre and remote interface determine the final configuration and must be approved on project drawings.

04

What inputs should a supplier receive?

Board connector/MOI references or drawings, both-end lane map, fibre and routing constraints, test method, sample quantity and target milestones.
