Confirm equipment and mating parts before freezing cable configuration
MTP® PRO is a specific US Conec MPO connector family whose compatible connectors can be reconfigured for polarity and guide-pin options with the corresponding field tool. This does not mean ordinary MPO/MTP connectors are field configurable, nor does a polarity change replace end-to-end lane mapping.
Before procurement or field work, identify the full connector reference, factory/field state, gender and key orientation at both ends. Follow the applicable manufacturer tool instructions, record the change, then verify the end-to-end map, connector condition and project test results.

Purchasing FAQ
Can an MTP PRO tool change any MPO connector?
No compatibility should be inferred from the interface class. US Conec specifies field polarity/pin adjustment for its MTP PRO system and corresponding tools; verify the exact reference and tool guide.
Is a polarity change the same as changing connector gender?
No. Polarity is a lane-mapping configuration; gender describes guide-pin configuration. Confirm support for the exact connector and tool separately.
Should a field-configured assembly still be tested?
Yes. Follow the project test plan for end faces, lane mapping and link performance, and retain the change record.
Does MTP PRO solve every polarity issue?
No. Structured cabling may use different architectures and vendor conventions. Verify the complete link across equipment, trunks, modules and patch cords.
